The disposal of sharps bins from patients is not accepted by the Practice. Patients who require sharps bins to be disposed of safely can return these to the pharmacy that they were dispensed from or if that pharmacy does not accept the return of these contact the local council.
Hyndburn Borough Council have a free, dedicated service to collect clinical waste from patients at home and can be contacted on 01254 388 111 asking for the clinical waste department.
